  • Canned Black Beans: 1 (15 oz) can, rinsed and drained
  • Breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup

  • Cumin: 1 tsp
  • Chili Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Egg: 1
  • Whole Wheat Buns: 4

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the black beans with a fork until they are partially broken down.
  2. Stir in the breadcrumbs, onion, cumin, chili powder, and egg. Mix until well combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into patties.
  4. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium heat. Cook the burgers for 5-7 minutes on each side, until heated through and browned.
